Job summary

Mission First Housing Group in Washington, DC is seeking a Real Estate Development Manager to lead planning, financing, and execution of affordable housing developments across our portfolio. The role supports all phases from conception through construction, lease-up and operations, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, Planning, Real Estate, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of real estate development experience.
• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills including advanced Excel.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects, budgets, timelines, and multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate affordable housing predevelopment from feasibility through design and permitting with Senior Development Managers.
• Perform financial and feasibility analyses and advise on financing structures and feasibility.
• Coordinate project team including architect, engineer, attorney, env. consultants, and GC.
• Prepare and submit applications for project funding and financing; support due diligence.
• Manage financing process from application to closing and related documentation.
• Support construction through draw requests and status reports to funders; prepare closeout reports.
• Monitor asset and property management through lease-up and occupancy transition.
• Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders and track predevelopment costs.
