Job summary

MRK Partners in Collingswood, NJ, is seeking an Affordable Housing Development Associate to support projects from acquisition to construction and asset management. You will manage multiple development projects, conduct market research, perform due diligence, draft LOIs, and coordinate reports while collaborating with teams across accounting, development, and leadership.

A bachelor's in business/finance and at least 5 years in affordable housing are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the affordable housing domain.
Proficient with MS Office and virtual meeting tools.
Proficient with Monday.com and RealPage preferred.
Ability to read leases, contracts, financials and title documents.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Model and instill company mission and values.
Manage multiple projects concurrently across development stages, with COO support.
Perform market research and valuation analyses for prospective opportunities.
Perform due diligence and prepare analyses for COO review.
Draft LOIs and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Negotiate contracts and financing bank agreements.
Lead planning, design, entitlements, and construction duties.
Improve development operations, systems and tools.
Cultivate relationships with brokers, partners, regulators, contractors, and consultants.
Complete special projects as required.
