Job summary

Bickerdike Redevelopment Corporation in Chicago, IL is seeking a Development Project Manager (Affordable Housing) to plan, coordinate and carry out all facets of real estate development from inception through construction and turnover, reporting to the VP of Real Estate Development.

The role demands strong leadership, complex timeline and budget management, multi-agency coordination, site travel across the city, and a commitment to Bickerdike's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and minimum 3 years in development finance or real estate development.
• Green Design and construction knowledge preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, architectural software and project management tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong analytical and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee project conception, community input and board presentations.
• Assemble and coordinate the development team to ensure timely activities.
• Perform project funding activities and secure financing for projects.
• Oversee pre-development to closing, including budget, approvals and due diligence.
• Manage pre-construction, permits, bid process and coordination with the VP Real Estate Development.
• Serve as Owner’s Representative during construction and handle turnover documentation.
