The New York Yankees seek an Affiliate Video and Tech Assistant to support video and data collection for the team’s affiliate in Tampa, FL. You will help manage travel logistics and provide administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities include charting games, assisting with Spring Training data collection, coordinating travel for players and staff, and troubleshooting tech issues with TrackMan and related systems while collaborating with coaches and analysts on

• Prior experience charting games with baseball data systems is preferred.
• Experience with baseball technology such as TrackMan, Edgertronic cameras, KinaTrax, Hawk-Eye, Yakkertech is preferred.
• Deep understanding of baseball rules and how to score a game.
• Ability to identify pitch types.
• Willingness to work long hours, including holidays and weekends.

• Chart games and manage video and data collection for the affiliate.
• Assist with MLB and MiLB video and data collection during Spring Training.
• Coordinate travel itineraries for players and staff to affiliate.
• Manage affiliate travel logistics including buses, flights, hotels.
• Troubleshoot technology issues with support from Video Coordinators and Baseball Systems staff.
• Collaborate with coaches and analysts to prepare advance scouting reports for each game.
• Capture and upload non-game video and data from bullpens, BP, drills.
• Oversee high-speed video capture and upload for games and events.
• Oversee TrackMan, Hawk-Eye, and KinaTrax operations at the affiliate.
• Assist Amateur, International, and Pro Scouting with miscellaneous needs.

Description:

The Affiliate Video & Tech Assistant manages video and data collection, oversees travel logistics, and provides administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations for their assigned affiliate.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Chart games and manage video and data collection for their assigned affiliate.
• Assist with Major League and Minor League video and data collection during Spring Training.
• Coordinate break-camp travel and itineraries for players and staff going to their assigned affiliate.
• Manage affiliate travel logistics and administrative duties including bus schedules, flights, hotel reservations, etc.
• Troubleshoot technology issues with assistance from Video Coordinators and Baseball Systems staff.
• Collaborate with coaches and analysts to prepare advance scouting reports for each game.
• Capture and upload non-game video and data from bullpens, batting practice, defensive drills, etc.
• Oversee all high-speed video capture and upload processes for games and non-game events.
• Oversee TrackMan, Hawk-Eye, and KinaTrax operations and workflows at their assigned affiliate.
• Assist the Amateur, International, and Pro Scouting departments with miscellaneous needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience charting games with BATS is preferred.
• Previous experience in a professional baseball clubhouse is preferred.
• Previous experience with baseball technology such as TrackMan, Edgertronic cameras, KinaTrax, Hawk-Eye, Yakkertech, etc. is preferred.
• Deep understanding of baseball rules and how to score a baseball game.
• Ability to accurately identify pitch types.
• Availability to work long hours, including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to carry heavy equipment, climb stairs, and set up cameras throughout a stadium.
