Job summary

MakeMyMove is seeking a Legal Specialist I - Affiliates to support the Legal-Affiliates department at the Corporate Office in Fort Wayne, IN. You will assist with insurance renewals, regulatory filings, and maintaining department procedures and databases.

Responsibilities include preparing correspondence, coordinating invoices, scheduling meetings, recording minutes, and contributing to department initiatives and decision-making processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years administrative experience required.
• 1 year of insurance experience is desired.
• Associate's degree, paralegal certification, and/or insurance related studies are desired.
• Prior legal or insurance-related experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the insurance renewal process for various affiliated companies as assigned.
• Prepare correspondence for the legal-affiliates department as needed.
• Coordinate, update, and maintain processes, procedures, and databases for the legal-affiliates department.
• Help prepare and monitor reports and regulatory filings for affiliates.
• Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of entity-level insurance licenses for affiliates.
• Assist department staff in scheduling meetings, organizing events, recording notes, drafting minutes, and maintaining agendas for affiliate board members.
• Participate in meetings involving collective decision-making and contribute to departmental or interdepartmental processes as requested.
• Coordinate the payment of invoices for the legal-affiliates department and reconcile accounts.
• Complete other tasks for the legal-affiliates department as assigned.
