Job summary

DermCare Management is seeking a dedicated Aesthetician in Florida to join our dermatology team. The role requires a current Florida aesthetician license and 1–2 years in a dermatology or plastic surgery setting.

You will perform skilled skincare treatments, educate patients, and maintain EMR records while upholding HIPAA standards. Ideal candidates multitask effectively, present professionally, and can work full-time including Saturdays with some travel between locations.

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Aesthetician license must be posted at work site.
  • Minimum 1–2 years in dermatology or plastic surgery setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Proficient with EMR and general computer skills.
  • Polished, professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and adapt to change.
  • Full-time availability including Saturdays; travel between locations if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skin analysis and develop customized treatment plans and skincare regimens.
  • Educate patients on procedures and skincare products, including private label and retail lines.
  • Prepare for and perform advanced skincare treatments (facials, Hydrafacial, chemical peels, etc.).
  • Ensure patient consents are documented in EMR and maintain HIPAA/OSHA compliance.
  • Maintain treatment rooms, stock supplies, and coordinate patient scheduling with providers.
  • Handle patient communication, calls, and follow-ups; participate in marketing activities.
  • Assist with inventory and stay updated on equipment and products.

The Aesthetician provides professional skincare services, patient education, and product recommendations while ensuring a high level of patient care and service. This includes performing treatments, maintaining proper documentation, supporting front-office duties as needed, and contributing to business growth through product and service promotion.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform skin analysis and develop customized treatment plans and skincare regimens.
  • Educate patients on procedures and skincare products, including private label and retail lines.
  • Prepare for and perform advanced skincare treatments (e.g., facials, Hydrafacial, Oxygen Facial, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, enzyme treatments).
  • Ensure patient consents are completed and procedures are properly documented in EMR.
  • Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance at all times.
  • Maintain treatment rooms: clean, disinfect, stock, and ensure readiness.
  • Coordinate patient care and scheduling in collaboration with providers.
  • Handle patient communication, including answering calls and following up.
  • Participate in promotional events, marketing activities, and patient engagement efforts.
  • Assist with inventory and notify management of needed supplies.
  • Engage in ongoing training and collaboration with team members to remain current on equipment and products.

Essential Functions of Job:
  • Exposures encountered, such as hazardous materials, loud noise, or extreme heat/cold.
  • Essential physical requirements, such as climbing, standing, stooping, or typing.
  • Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary - up to 10 pounds; light - up to 20 pounds; medium - up to 50 pounds; heavy - over 50 pounds.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a professional office/clinical environment. The role regularly requires standing, sitting, working at a computer, communicating with employees, managers, physicians, patients, and walking throughout the day. There are no regular lifting requirements beyond standard office/ practice materials. The work environment is typical of a medical practice setting.
