Job summary

Central Florida Eye Specialists, affiliated with EyeSouth Partners, seeks a Medical Assistant for Oculoplastics and Aesthetics to support cosmetic and surgical services. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist with Botox, fillers, IPL, and postoperative care, and ensure accurate documentation and patient safety.

Ideal candidates have healthcare experience, strong communication, and a commitment to confidentiality in a fast-paced ophthalmic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Previous Medical Assistant or ophthalmology experience preferred.
• Experience in dermatology, plastic surgery, aesthetics, ophthalmology, or another procedural specialty is a plus.
• Experience assisting with Botox, dermal fillers, IPL, or other cosmetic procedures is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
• Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and patient confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for cosmetic and aesthetic procedures.
• Assist the provider during Botox, dermal filler, IPL, and other aesthetic treatments.
• Review and confirm documentation, consents, and treatment information prior to procedures.
• Obtain and document patient histories, medications, allergies, and relevant clinical information.
• Take standardized before-and-after photographs as directed.
• Prepare necessary supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Maintain infection-control and room-cleaning standards between patients.
• Provide pre- and post-treatment instructions.
• Create a welcoming patient experience during cosmetic visits.
• Assist with maintaining cosmetic inventory and notify leadership when replenishment is needed.
• Room and prepare patients for postoperative appointments and follow-ups.
• Assist physician with examinations, minor procedures, postoperative care, and in-office surgeries.
• Document information in electronic medical records accurately.
• Stock and prep examination rooms and follow HIPAA/OSHA policies.
• Collaborate with the Oculoplastics team and support department needs.
