Job summary

Aegis Worldwide partners with a U.S. manufacturer to hire a hands-on General Manager for a welding and manufacturing facility serving the aerospace industry. You will lead daily operations, drive a small team, and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

The ideal candidate combines welding expertise with manufacturing leadership, can read blueprints and welding specs, and will drive continuous improvements in quality, productivity, and safety on the floor.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification preferred.
• Experience in aerospace or military defense manufacturing preferred.
• Strong welding knowledge and experience inspecting welds.
• Previous leadership experience in welding, fabrication, or manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical specs.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a small team on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, production schedules, and customer delivery commitments.
• Lead and support a small team of welding and manufacturing employees.
• Inspect welds, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Review blueprints, welding specifications, and customer requirements.
• Manage customer communication regarding orders, timelines, and quality concerns.
• Identify opportunities to improve production processes, quality, and efficiency.
• Oversee overall facility performance and communicate operational updates to company leadership.
