Job summary

100Hires, Inc. in Arizona seeks an experienced welder to perform precision welding on aerospace components on a first shift. You will setup manual and orbital GTAW/TIG systems, read drawings, and work with engineering to meet quality and throughput goals.

The role requires certifications to AWS D17.1 and 8+ years of welding experience with aerospace alloys; strong attention to cleanliness, FP work, and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have manual GTAW (TIG) certification to AWS D17.1 or equivalent.
• Experience programming/setup/running orbital GTAW equipment for aerospace work.
• Read and apply weld symbols, drawings, and quality requirements.
• Pass screenings including weld test and eye exam.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and automatic welding systems per work instructions.
• Position fixtures and adjust workpieces using hand tools and measuring devices.
• Fine-tune welding processes within procedural limits to conform to standards.
• Read product/process drawings and quality requirements; perform pre-weld inspection.
• Maintain FOD-free work areas; assist mentoring less-experienced welders.
