Job summary

Rocket Lab USA is seeking a Fabrication Technician II to lead fabrication tasks that create custom parts for vehicle build and GSE repair. You will read blueprints, operate CNCs and welding equipment, and collaborate with engineers to improve processes while ensuring safety and quality.

The role involves painting, assembly, and supporting all aspects of vehicle integration in a fast-paced, aerospace environment. Base salary range is VA-based with stock and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of fabrication/manufacturing experience.
• Proficient with CNC, welding, saws and mills/lathes.
• Able to read blueprints and follow specs precisely.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fabrication tasks including cutting, welding, machining, painting, and assembling.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accuracy.
• Operate and maintain fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
• Perform custom fabrication work and support GSE repair and vehicle build.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize processes.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and adhere to specs.
