Rocket Lab in Wallops Island, VA is seeking a Fabrication Technician II to lead fabrication tasks for vehicle build and GSE repair. You will read blueprints, operate CNC machines, weld, cut, and assemble parts with a focus on quality and safety on-site.

Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and ensure adherence to specifications and timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in fabrication preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in fabrication/manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with fabrication tools and machinery including CNC, welding, and shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute fabrication tasks including cutting, welding, machining, painting and assembly.
• Read blueprints, schematics and technical drawings for accurate production.
• Operate and maintain fabrication machinery ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize fabrication processes.
