Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL, is seeking skilled welders to support New Glenn rocket fabrication across orbital tube welding, friction stir welding, and manual GTAW processes. You will operate robotic weld systems, read engineering drawings, set up production work areas, and help ensure high-quality assembly for safe spaceflight.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma or GED, relevant manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced aerospace

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing, integration, or related field expected.
• Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (Windows, MS Office).
• Ability to work in confined spaces for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate robotic weld systems.
• Perform manual welds across 2G/5G/6G positions.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Set up new production work areas with layouts and tooling.
• Conduct hardware inspections per drawings and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot and correct discrepancies; perform rework/repair.
