Job summary

TEL Staffing is seeking a Welder to join our team in Fairhope, AL. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED with welding experience, or a two-year welder training program with two years of experience.

Responsibilities include welding repairs per overhaul manual using TIG, MIG, Stick, and other methods; operating drill presses and ovens; reading welding prints; and ensuring safety procedures. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 4 years welding experience, or completion of accredited 2-year welder’s program and 2 years welding experience.
• Certified Welder per AWS D17 or equivalent for various alloys.
• Must pass a criminal background check and FAA/DOT pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Weld repair components per overhaul manual using TIG, MIG, Stick, Braze Rod, Spot Weld, and Silver Soldier.
• Operate drill press, grit blast machine, ovens and related equipment to support production.
• Heat-treat parts using oven regularly as needed.
• Read traveler and welding prints to determine welding direction.
• Repair or restore parts using welding equipment and torches.
• Move gas cylinders as required; travel as needed; comply with safety policies.
