Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Wax Assembly Operator to clean, prepare, and assemble wax patterns and core components used in aerospace parts. You will follow engineering specifications and customer requirements to ensure quality, accuracy, and on-time production. The role operates on the 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 9:00 p.m.

to 5:00 a.m.) with a $3.00 shift differential. Training may involve varied shifts before transitioning to the assigned shift, and safety procedures are emphasized throughout.

Qualifications

• English communication required and ability to read work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise assembly.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and procedures is beneficial.
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare wax patterns and core components prior to assembly.
• Remove defects using approved tools and methods.
• Inspect wax patterns to ensure they meet quality requirements before assembly.
• Read and follow engineering sketches, practices, and work instructions.
• Assemble wax patterns, gating, sprues, bleeders, pour cups, ceramic cores, and other mold components.
• Use hot irons, water welders, scalpels, adhesives, and other assembly tools as required.
• Repair minor imperfections and address quality concerns as directed.
• Complete required paperwork and accurately sign off on production routers.
• Transfer completed work to the next operation and communicate job status to the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
