Job summary

Component Repair Technologies (CRT) seeks an intermediate level Visual/Dimensional Inspector to verify airworthiness and conformance to OEM standards for aerospace engine components across receiving, in-process, and final inspections.

The role operates in a state-of-the-art facility with extensive in-house training and hands-on experience to develop required skills, including measuring with precision gauges and documenting results in detailed reports.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in aircraft maintenance, civilian or military fields, or an applicable technical accreditation.
• Exposure to visual inspection methods and appropriate aids for inspected articles.
• Proficiency with gauges such as calipers, borescopes, micrometers, optical or electronic comparators.
• General knowledge of turbine engine components, functions, repairs and shop processes.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect components for wear, corrosion, fretting, gouges, bent or worn features, elongated holes, and other damage.
• Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, surface gages, dial-indicator gages, and other inspection tools to measure sizes.
• Determine whether part features meet serviceability, reparability, and overhauled condition.
• Interpret OEM standards and document findings in reports.
• Inspect documentation from customers, vendors, and CRT; report findings clearly.
• Collaborate with engineering on new procedures and repairs for continuous improvement.
