Job summary

JobDiva, Inc. seeks a Senior Aerospace Value Engineering & Manufacturing Optimization Engineer to lead DFM, Should-Cost, and cost-reduction redesigns for critical aerospace systems in Dayton, OH. You will drive value through Design-to-Cost initiatives, evaluate supplier costs, and ensure airworthiness and ITAR compliance.

You will collaborate with client teams and local manufacturers, support NPD, and guide aftermarket transitions while maintaining high quality and reliability standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline required.
• U.S. Citizen due to ITAR work.
• Onsite work in Dayton, OH required.

Responsibilities

• Lead DFM, Design-to-Cost, Product Redesign, and Should-Cost initiatives.
• Support military aerospace and defense programs, ITAR-controlled.
• Collaborate with offsite Client teams and local aerospace customers.
• Support New Product Development (NPD) and cost-reduction redesign.
• Support aftermarket sustainment and supplier-enabled manufacturing transitions.
• Evaluate product designs, processes, and supplier cost structures.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
• Ensure product performance, quality, reliability, and airworthiness.
• Ensure ITAR and export-control compliance.
• Support aerospace applications involving electrical power generation and related systems.
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
