Job summary

Montana Precision Products in Butte, MT, seeks a manufacturing operator to set up and run tube bending and machining processes. You will trim, bend, form, deburr, and inspect parts to meet fabrication drawings, using fixtures, gauges, and hand tools.

Reading blueprints and maintaining equipment are key responsibilities. The role emphasizes safe operation, quality assurance, and cross-training across tube bending and machining areas, with standard day shift duties and strong eligibility

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of angles, planes, and geometry.
• Mathematical reading and computation abilities.
• Ability to read/write/speak English.
• Eligible as a US Person for access to restricted technology.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and programs to trim, bend, form, and inspect material per drawings.
• Prepare material and trim for bending; perform deburring.
• Operate, inspect, and document quality using fixtures and gauges.
• Read blueprints, travelers/routers, and work instructions.
• Maintain and log preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Provide instruction and support on processes within the manufacturing cell.
• Troubleshoot quality deficiencies and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Keep tools and work area clean; participate in cross-training.
• Support training in tube bending and machining production areas.
