Job summary

PPG is seeking a Supply Chain Manager – Aerospace Transparencies in Grand Prairie, TX to lead materials management, planning, and logistics to meet customer demand. You will drive forecasting, capacity planning, and SIOP while optimizing MRP parameters and lean systems to improve service levels and efficiency.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will build a high-performing team and coordinate with executives, suppliers, and manufacturing to achieve operational excellence in aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering or Operations.
• APICS certification preferred.
• Six years of experience in diverse manufacturing environments.
• Five or more years as a Supply Chain Manager or related role.
• Experience with Supply, Inventory, and Operations Planning to balance supply and demand requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of materials management, supply chain, and inventory strategies to meet plant objectives.
• Manage a high-performing team responsible for logistics, inventory control, material planning, production scheduling, and analytics.
• Oversee forecasting, capacity planning, and SIOP to align demand, supply, resources, and manufacturing needs.
• Optimize MRP, lead times, safety stock, and lean pull systems for material availability.
• Drive inventory optimization, PO management, cycle counting, and accuracy across materials, WIP, finished goods.
• Monitor on-time delivery, inventory levels, manufacturing performance, and shortage recovery plans.
• Partner with production leadership, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to execute global material strategies.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering or Operations
