Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Tool Die Making Manager 1 to lead tooling activities onsite in Palmdale, CA. The role ensures tooling support for production transitions, drives standardization, risk management, and continuous improvement across the organization.

The leader will manage a team including milling, assembly tooling, and technicians, with a requirement for DoD Secret clearance and willingness to travel up to 10% and support 3/10 shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years in tooling-related fields.
• Active DoD Secret clearance eligible for SAP access.
• 1 year of leadership/management experience; ability to work all shifts.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field.

Responsibilities

• Stay current on tooling/manufacturing concepts and procedures.
• Provide tooling support for production transition and sustained production.
• Establish and improve tooling processes; manage risk and continuous improvement.
• Supervise daily operations and tool fabrication staff; travel up to 10% as required.
