Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD (CATIA V5, Siemens NX, Creo, SolidWorks) for tooling design.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing processes and inspection principles.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to travel to manufacturing sites and supplier locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify production tooling, jigs, fixtures, and assembly aids from concept through production release.
• Translate requirements into tooling specs, drawings, 3D models, and BOM.
• Perform tolerance stack-up, fit checks, and tooling validation.
• Support tooling fabrication, supplier management, and acceptance criteria verification.
• Lead root-cause analyses for tooling issues and implement corrective actions.
• Create tooling documentation: process plans, safety assessments, and work instructions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet schedule, safety and quality goals.
• Maintain configuration control and tooling lifecycle records.
• Participate in cost estimating, risk assessments and schedule planning.
