Job summary

Chromalloy Gas Turbine, LLC is seeking an Associate Tooling Design Engineer to design tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing solutions for aerospace components. You will own technical aspects from concept through production, create 3D CAD models and drawings, and collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to meet performance and cost targets.

As part of a global engineering organization, you will support NPI initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and mentor junior engineers

Qualifications

• Design tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment for aerospace components.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturability requirements.
• Experience with reverse engineering methodologies and metrology tools.
• Strong CAD skills and CAM experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of tooling solutions for aerospace components.
• Own technical aspects from concept through production implementation.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and drawings using NX or similar.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, quality, and engineering teams to meet cost objectives.
• Support CNC programming and tooling fabrication processes.
• Evaluate tooling designs for manufacturability and usability.
• Provide guidance to engineers and teammates.
• Drive continuous improvement and NPI readiness initiatives.
• Present updates and design solutions to stakeholders.
