Aurora Flight Sciences in Columbus, MS is seeking a Tool Fabricator I to support the aerospace manufacturing process. You will set up, maintain, fabricate, and inspect precision tools and fixtures used to assemble aerospace parts, working closely with engineering and tooling teams.

This role requires basic education and 1+ years of related experience, and you must be a US citizen. Preferred are CNC experience, welding, and metrology skills; on-site work is required with standard PPE.

Qualifications

• Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent
• Basic computer skills- including but not limited to Microsoft Office Applications.
• Must have the ability to work from tool drawings, sketches and verbal instructions.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).

Responsabilités

• Perform required tool set up, maintenance, inspection and modifications
• Works under supervision with limited understanding of the job
• Follow detailed verbal or written instructions to make minor repairs
• Follow established processes and standards to ensure tools meet production requirements and quality parameters
• Work within the Tool Fabrication team to manufacture and assemble tools used for company programs
• Operates various factory support equipment to move materials and tools as required
• Work with Tool Design engineers to resolve problems with tooling to produce acceptable parts and assemblies
