Job summary

Aurora Flight Sciences, a Boeing Company, seeks a Tool Fabricator II in Columbus, MS to support aerospace tooling assembly. You will set up, fabricate, inspect, and maintain precision tools and fixtures used in aircraft parts production, collaborating with engineering and tooling teams to meet stringent quality standards.

Ideal candidates have toolmaking experience, read blueprints, and operate CNC mills/lathes; CNC programming and welding or forklift experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 4+ years related experience or equivalent
• Familiar with geometric tolerancing and standard machining practices
• Able to read tool drawings and follow instructions
• Experience operating turning and milling machines; CNC programming preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, fabricate and inspect precision tools and fixtures
• Repair damaged tooling and ensure tools meet production requirements
• Manufacture tools per engineering specs using mills, lathes and CNC machines
• Collaborate with Tool Design engineers to resolve tooling issues
• Operate factory support equipment to move materials and tools as required
