Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Welder/Laser Operator for Space Coast, Florida, to perform precision welding on aluminum, steel, and aerospace alloys. You will read blueprints, prepare surfaces, and utilize OTW, TIG, and VPPA welding, ensuring tolerance and quality for critical hardware.

Responsibilities include fabricating jigs, using calipers and CMMs for verification, and maintaining a clean, safe, compliant workspace while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with trade school or equivalent experience.
• Experience welding aerospace metals (orbital tube welding, TIG, VPPA).
• AWS welding certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform orbital tube welding, TIG welding, and automated welding to aerospace standards.
• Read blueprints and welding procedures to fabricate assemblies.
• Prepare surfaces and fit-up for welding and NDE.
• Fabricate jigs/fixtures for precise hardware builds.
• Use precision tools to verify work quality.
• Troubleshoot and maintain welding equipment.
• Maintain clean, safe, and compliant work area.
• Collaborate with team and share process improvements.
• Document work and report findings to engineering/quality.
