Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a skilled welder to perform GTAW welding on aluminum and stainless steel aerospace alloys, set up welds, and inspect quality to strict specifications. You will work with flight hardware, read engineering drawings, and develop fixtures to support production and development on spaceflight programs.

The role requires 3+ years of TIG welding experience, CAD familiarity (CREO), and strong documentation habits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience with DC- and AC-TIG welding of aerospace stainless steels and aluminum alloys.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to document and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to use precision hand tools, standard mechanical tools and fabrication shop equipment.
• Ability to develop fixtures/tooling.
• Familiar with CAD tools (CREO) and reading GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Welds aluminum, stainless steels, and alloys to engineering drawings.
• Sets up and operates welding equipment and test fixtures.
• Monitors weld quality and conforms to specifications.
• Performs routine maintenance on machines and tools.
• Supports production and development activities for spaceflight hardware.
