Qualifications

• 4 years of welding experience.
• Bachelor's degree or 2 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and data.
• Ability to operate welding equipment independently.
• Basic understanding of metal behavior during the welding process.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on aerospace components, adhering to precise specifications.
• Read and follow technical manuals, verbal instructions, blueprints, and work orders on a daily basis.
• Apply repair instructions and/or Engine Manual requirements to restore components to operational condition.
• Use fixtures, tungsten arc, automatic welding equipment, and hand welding techniques to repair worn or damaged areas, including cracks, on aircraft parts.
• Weld, blend, grind, and polish weld buildup on worn or defective surfaces to meet quality standards.
• Work with various aerospace materials such as Titanium, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum.
• Operate specialized welding equipment, including Dabber TIG and Electron Beam machines.
• Maintain active welding certifications in specific welds and materials as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
