Job summary

Barnes Aerospace, Ogden Division is seeking a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on welding complex assemblies to meet station planning and customer specifications, with emphasis on GTAW/TIG processes and precision measurement.

You will set up fixtures, read blueprints, operate grinders and measuring tools, and maintain safety and 6S standards in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Shift options include 2nd or 3rd with differential pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years welding in aerospace industry.
• TIG welding experience.
• Welding certification or in progress.
• Ability to read and follow customer specifications.
• Operate pneumatic grinders, overhead crane, welders, GTAW, pedestal grinders, resistance welder, and drills.
• Experience with welding various metal materials.
• Knowledge of GTAW and welding practices.
• Follow station planning and read blueprints.
• Knowledge of precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Weld complex assemblies per station planning and specifications.
• Set up weld fixtures and tooling fixtures.
• Use metal finishing tools and precise measuring equipment to meet station planning specs.
• Print station planning, record throughput, and complete routers and manufacturing orders.
• Maintain safety standards and complete 6S daily/weekly.
• Keep area clean and safe to pass safety regulations.
• Assist others in department as needed.
• Help assembly area when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
