Job summary

804 Technology in Missouri is seeking an experienced welder to perform TIG and MIG welding on tight-tolerance aerospace tubing. You will read blueprints, set up welds, and verify accuracy using precision measuring tools.

Eligible candidates have extensive aerospace welding experience, can read small weld puddle details, and may hold a CWI certification. The role requires a detail-oriented, proactive problem-solver with a commitment to 5S standards.

Qualifications

• 6 years of verifiable aerospace or high-precision tube welding experience.
• Experience welding thin (.025”-.060”) aerospace alloys such as aluminum, titanium, Inconel, and other reactive alloys.
• Must read weld puddle minuscule characteristics and adjust TIG to establish new procedure qualifications; passing radiographic testing of thin aluminum tubes with porosity allowances.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, models, and work instructions to set-up and weld tight-tolerance parts using GTAW and GMAW.
• Accurately measure and inspect welded assemblies with ±.005”-.030” tolerances using calipers, micrometers, and other high-precision measuring instruments.
• Collaborate with coworkers to determine manufacturing solutions for overcoming distortion, shrinkage, and other welding obstacles.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and comply with 5S standards.
• Perform duties in other departments as workload requires.
