Actalent in Houston, TX is seeking a Thermal Engineer to support the design, development, analysis, and verification of advanced aerospace systems with a focus on thermal performance.

You will develop thermal models, perform detailed analyses, and support thermal testing across the product lifecycle, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure thermal designs meet mission requirements, performance objectives, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of aerospace thermal engineering experience.
• Proficient in thermal analysis and design for aerospace systems.
• Hands-on experience with Thermal Desktop, COMSOL, and ANSYS Fluent.
• Familiar with SINDA/FLUINT.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Ability to develop and correlate analytical models with test data.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and validate thermal models for components and configurations.
• Perform steady-state and transient thermal analyses to predict and optimize performance.
• Evaluate thermal behavior across mission phases from launch to off-nominal scenarios.
• Support thermal testing, data analysis, and model correlation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize thermal control architectures.
• Participate in design reviews, trade studies, and anomaly investigations.
