Job summary

Qualifications

• This position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
• Must have a bachelor's degree in the field of engineering.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent and related work experience.
• Experience with thermal analysis tools such as Thermal Desktop, COMSOL, Ansys Fluent, or similar industry standard software.
• Proven experience in thermal analysis and design for aerospace systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-fidelity thermal models using Thermal Desktop and SINDA/FLUINT.
• Perform steady-state and transient thermal analyses for spacecraft components and integrated systems.
• Evaluate thermal performance under launch, transit, lunar orbit, and quiescent modes.
• Support thermal verification activities, including test planning, data analysis, and model correlation.
• Collaborate with design teams to optimize thermal control strategies and provide guidance on thermal considerations.
• Participate in design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and anomaly investigations.
• Document analysis results and present findings to internal stakeholders and NASA customers.
• Review NASA and vendor thermal designs to ensure compliance with requirements and best practices.
