Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an expert drafter to join the MK1Lunar Lander team. You will prepare design layouts, assemblies, and release data using CAD and PLM tools, ensuring alignment with specifications. The role involves supporting cross-functional engineering for mechanical layouts and detailed designs, with emphasis on quality and manufacturability.

The candidate should have an associate degree in CAD & Design, 5+ years in aerospace, and strong GD&T and data management skills. U.S.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design or closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace development or similar.
• Proficiency in drawing generation and release using Creo and Windchill.
• Proficiency in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and standard fits/tolerances.
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design layouts, create detail and assembly drawings/MBDs, and release data sets using CAD/PLM tools.
• Review engineering drawings to ensure conformance to specs and standards.
• Support mechanical layout and detail design for structural parts and assemblies.
• Maintain data depicting engineering designs (detail, assembly, installation drawings).
• Apply standard methodologies to balance cost, schedule, and performance.
