Job summary

Vast in Long Beach, California, is hiring a Test Technician to support the development and testing of hardware for artificial gravity space stations. You will report to the Manager, Hardware Development, and contribute to ground support equipment testing, troubleshooting, and integration of high‑pressure and hydraulic systems in a cleanroom‑like environment.

This is a full‑time, non‑exempt position with first and second shifts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, test, operations, HVAC or other relevant role.
• High School Diploma or equivalency certificate.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, clean, and activate ground support equipment and test articles in partnership with engineering, with a focus on pressurized ground systems
• Operate, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and modify manufacturing and testing equipment, including pressurized systems from vacuum to 20,000 psig, pneumatic and hydraulic, oxygen systems, refrigerant systems, and data and control systems
• Support development, acceptance, qualification, and investigative test campaigns via build and operation of ground support and flight equipment
• Maintain laboratory and workshop, including cleanliness, stocking of consumables, tool control, and supporting design and build infrastructure to support above activities
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions in support of above activities
