Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Test Lab Engineer for a client in the Norwich, NY area. This on-site role focuses on developing, executing, and documenting qualification and certification testing for aerospace engine and component programs.

You will create detailed test plans, coordinate tests (thermal cycling, vibration, wind tunnel), collect and analyze data with Excel and LabVIEW, and produce formal FAA-compliance reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of aerospace testing, qualification, or certification experience.
• Experience with FAA-regulated programs and certification efforts.
• Hands-on laboratory experience with environmental and mechanical testing equipment.
• Experience using LabVIEW for data collection, analysis, or test automation.
• Knowledge of thermocouples, strain gauges, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed testing plans and procedures for aerospace components and systems.
• Translate requirements into test objectives, acceptance criteria, and validation methods.
• Coordinate qualification, environmental, and certification tests including thermal cycling, vibration, temperature and sensor validation, wind tunnel testing.
• Install and utilize test instrumentation including thermocouples.
• Collect, validate, and analyze test data using Excel, LabVIEW, and other tools.
• Generate detailed technical reports documenting test execution, results, and compliance findings.
