Job summary

Beyond New Horizons LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Operating Engineer, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB Tennessee. The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining or supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift, and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected

Qualifications

• Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of Operating Engineer experience in aeronautical test facility operations or 6 years in the trade; mechanical background with large plant systems.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• Must obtain and maintain certification to operate Forklifts, JLGs, and Overhead Cranes.
• Must read, write and communicate in English to safely understand technical manuals and procedures.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and AEDC network access.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to security and contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares plant equipment for operations.
• Troubleshoot equipment in case of malfunctions.
• Operate plant equipment during tests.
• Install and maintain facility systems.
• Accomplishes maintenance and servicing to keep test facility equipment in operation.
• Uses hand and machine tools, powered equipment, measuring and testing devices.
• Instructs less experienced lower grade craftsmen.
• Wears PPE as directed by supervision and policy.
• Performs other duties as required.
