Job summary

Actalent in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Test Engineer to execute customer test projects from planning through completion, ensuring quality, cost and schedule objectives across aerospace, telecom, military and industrial sectors. A BS in engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience are required, and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of two years of engineering, test, lab, or technical project experience preferred; strong hands-on experience encouraged for new grads.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude, organization, and attention to detail.
• Hands-on understanding of basic mechanical and/or electrical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Execute customer test projects from planning through setup, fabrication, testing, and completion per statements of work and test plans.
• Independently design, set up, instrument, and oversee test activities as required by plans and specs.
• Operate diverse test equipment, data acquisition systems, environmental chambers, vibration/shock systems, and transducers.
• Design, develop, and assemble test fixtures per customer requirements and standards.
• Lead test technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate test execution.
• Author test plans, procedures, and other technical documentation for project execution and compliance.
• Analyze, review, and document test data to ensure accuracy and traceability.
• Participate in design reviews, test readiness reviews, and program status meetings with customers and internal teams.
• Develop strong cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Operations, and other teams.
