Job summary

Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Alabama seeks a dynamic instructor to provide classroom and laboratory instruction in Aerospace, Manufacturing Technology, or related fields across day, evening, weekend sessions at the Decatur, Huntsville/Research Park campuses and other sites.

Duties include developing syllabi, evaluating student progress, maintaining records, advising students, and collaborating with local industry to keep curricula current.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent (60+ semester hours) in relevant field is required.
• At least 3 years of full-time related work experience.
• Experience with blueprint reading, GD&T, and electrical layout is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent classroom and laboratory instruction across multiple formats.
• Teach day, evening, weekend sessions at Decatur and Huntsville campuses, and other sites.
• Evaluate student progress using institutional criteria.
• Maintain accurate class records including grades and attendance.
• Develop syllabi, outlines, and catalog materials as requested.
• Engage with business and industry to strengthen partnerships.
• Promote student leadership and provide academic advising and counseling.
