Job summary

Rocket Lab Corporation is seeking an Aerospace Technician Trainer II/III to develop and deliver hands-on training for aerospace manufacturing, assembly, and repair. You will work with engineering, quality, and production to close gaps, promote safety, and ensure compliance with aerospace standards on the Middle River shop floor.

The role supports onboarding, recurrent training, and cross-training of technicians, with certification in composites work centers and strong emphasis on process

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 2+ years of experience in training and developing learning strategies.
• Must be certified or able to become certified in all composites work centers.
• Intermediate Math Skills.
• Experience training and mentoring newer technicians on industry standards and specific processes.
• Expert knowledge of tools used for composites and precision assembly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training programs for aerospace manufacturing, assembly, and repair processes.
• Train personnel on composites materials and processes, aligning with aerospace standards such as FAA/AS9100.
• Create and maintain work instructions, visual aids, and training documentation.
• Evaluate technician proficiency through assessments and on-the-job observations.
• Support onboarding, recurrent training, and cross-training of technicians.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to address defects and implement improvements.
• Troubleshoot composite manufacturing issues and incorporate lessons learned into content.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement on the production floor.
