Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor to develop hardware and software manuals for end-user operation and maintenance of the Patriot Missile System. You will produce MIL-STD 40051 XML compliant manuals delivered via the IADS viewer and manage XML updates within the Patriot manual library.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret engineering data, document architectures, and create supportive manuals, aided by Raytheon tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in English, Communication, Education or related field by start date.
• Experience with technical writing and interpretation of technical documentation.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop hardware and software technical documentation for end-user operation, assembly, and maintenance of the Patriot Missile System.
• Create MIL-STD 40051 XML compliant technical manuals delivered in the Interactive and Display Software (IADS) viewer.
• Tag XML updates into the Patriot technical manual library and interface with the Technical Manual team.
• Collaborate with technical writers, interpreting logistic information and engineering data to document systems architecture.
