Job summary

Signia Aerospace, part of the Hartzell Engine Tech family, seeks a technical writer to develop and maintain owner’s manuals, service and maintenance manuals, and other publications for internal and external audiences.

You will work with engineering, operations, quality, product support and sales to ensure accuracy, maintain change control, and adhere to style guides, contributing to SOAR business value and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 0–2 years of technical writing or documentation experience.
• Beginning knowledge of technical writing practices and documentation tools.
• Works under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit basic technical documentation including manuals, procedures, and user guides.
• Review engineering drawings, design reports, and technical specifications to gather documentation content.
• Translate technical concepts into clear, concise language.
• Ensure documentation follows company style guides, templates, and documentation standards.
• Maintain documentation records and assist with revision updates and version control.
• Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to verify accuracy of technical information.
