Job summary

Rocket Lab Corporation is seeking a Technical Trainer II/III to design and deliver aerospace training on manufacturing, assembly, and repair of composite parts. You will train technicians on prepregs, resins, fibers, and adhesives while aligning with FAA/AS9100 and engineering drawings.

You will also create procedures, assess proficiency, and support onboarding. As a key partner with engineering, quality, and production, you’ll help drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement on the shop

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and delivering aerospace training programs.
• Ability to mentor technicians and implement learning strategies.
• Knowledge of composites processes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training programs for aerospace manufacturing, assembly, and repair processes.
• Train personnel on prepregs, resins, fibers, core materials, and adhesives.
• Ensure training emphasizes compliance with FAA/AS9100 and engineering drawings.
• Create and maintain work instructions, visual aids, and training documentation.
• Evaluate technician proficiency through practical assessments and certifications.
• Support onboarding, recurrent training, and cross-training of composite technicians.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to address defects and improvements.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and incorporate lessons learned into training content.
• Promote safety, quality and continuous improvement on the production floor.
