Job summary

AeroVironment in the United States is offering a Summer Internship Program for students enrolled in college or recent graduates. The 12-week, onsite internship provides hands-on experience in the aerospace and defense industry, working with AV teams on meaningful projects and gaining professional skills.

The Test Equipment Engineering Intern role focuses on design, development, and testing of equipment, with responsibilities including C# / OOP software, test plan development, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant academic or project experience in test development or lab/manufacturing environments.
• familiarity with bug reports and root-cause analysis (academic or project-based).
• Exposure to Object-Oriented Programming (C# or LabVIEW a plus).
• Basic understanding of debugging and testing processes.
• Ability to estimate cost or development time based on project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, deployment, and troubleshooting of test equipment for PCBAs and AV systems during production.
• Support design and development of C# / OOP software using Visual Studio.
• Develop test software programs in C#.
• Collaborate to develop test plans, gather requirements, and create test strategies.
• Analyze and format test results following standard procedures.
• Meet project deliverables in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Support cross-functional teams across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Provide feedback to product design teams on testability.
