Job summary

V2X in Indianapolis is hiring a Mechanical Worker II to support modernization and sustainment efforts. The role involves assembling, disassembling, and testing complex mechanical and electromechanical systems per military and aerospace specs.

Expect duties across avionics, missiles, launchers, and related equipment, using precision tools and maintaining tight tolerances. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in electronic assembly or repair, and ability to read engineering

Qualifications

Must have high school diploma or GED.
Minimum 2 years in electronic assembly, rework, and repair preferred.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical docs.
Experience with pneumatic and electrical tooling and precision measuring tools.
Experience with light machining, sheet-metal work, drilling, riveting, and airframe repairs.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

Assemble, disassemble, re-assemble, fabricate, repair, and test complex systems.
Work with avionics, missiles, weapons controls, and related equipment.
Perform electrical tasks including wiring parts into assemblies.
Perform mechanical duties with tight tolerances and adjustments.
Perform structural duties including light machining and airframe repairs.
Use pneumatic, electric, hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
Mentor less experienced mechanical workers.
