Job summary

AeroTEC’s Seattle Engineering Center seeks a Manager, Systems Engineering to lead the systems engineering function across all programs, owning requirements management, safety, certification, and development planning.

The role requires a four-year engineering degree, a minimum of ten years in aerospace, and at least three years of leadership. Travel to domestic and international sites is expected, with a competitive salary and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ten years aerospace engineering experience across multiple domains (requirements, safety, certification).
• Minimum three years leading engineers and managing projects (cost, schedule, quality).
• Preferred: Earned Value Management on aerospace programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across all Systems Engineering domains for every program and project.
• Lead requirements origination, allocation, traceability, validation, and verification.
• Own safety processes including FHA, PSSA, SSA and risk closure.
• Oversee system security considerations in architecture and certification artifacts.
• Lead development planning, schedules, and resource forecasts across programs.
• Manage cross-functional collaboration with Flight Test, Design Teams, and Certification authorities.
• Manage contractors and external service suppliers for System Engineering work.
• Oversee cost and schedule performance using Earned Value Management.
