Job summary

AeroTEC in Seattle, WA is seeking a Group Lead for Avionic Systems to manage a skilled engineering group within the Engineering Services Department. The role oversees goals, staffing, and performance, while coordinating with HR and leadership to ensure high-quality outputs.

Key responsibilities include hiring, mentoring, planning, and maintaining safety and compliance. Ten-plus years in engineering and at least three years directing engineers are required for this role, with a Bachelor’s degree

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or related field.
• Ten (10) plus years of experience in an appropriate Engineering discipline.
• Three (3) years of experience directing the work of multiple Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Group to meet or exceed goals and customer needs.
• Assign work to Group members and plan short- and long-term goals.
• Hire, develop, motivate and evaluate direct reports.
• Build an efficient group structure with appropriate staffing.
• Lead hiring processes and provide performance previews.
• Oversee contractors and coordinate with leadership.
• Communicate regularly with the Group and broader organization.
• Model the company’s values and standards of safety and ethics.
• Act as SME and mentor for engineering discipline.
• Champion safety and ensure regulatory compliance.
