Job summary

AeroTEC, Inc. is seeking a Certification Engineer II at the Seattle Engineering Center to lead aircraft product certification initiatives and coordinate with FAA and other authorities.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of 14 CFR parts and airworthiness standards, strong communication, and collaboration across design, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle. Qualifications

• Knowledge of certification processes and regulatory requirements.
• Background in Flight Sciences, Electrical/Mechanical Systems, Powerplant, Air Systems, Structures, and/or Technical Writing.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all aspects of aircraft product certification projects, from initial planning through final approval.
• Provide input to communication with the FAA, fostering strong working relationships.
• Prepare, review, and submit certification plans and compliance data to regulatory authorities.
• Review documents and drawings from an airworthiness perspective.
• Utilize knowledge of 14 CFR parts and advisory material.
• Establish and manage relationships with DERs and international equivalents.
• Monitor regulatory changes and develop implementation strategies.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and flight test teams to integrate requirements.
• Support foreign validation efforts with international authorities.
