Job summary

Acron Aviation in St. Petersburg, Florida, seeks motivated Systems Engineering Interns to join our engineering team for a full-time, onsite summer internship from May through August.

You will work with experienced systems engineers on projects covering development, integration, verification, certification, and sustainment of aerospace recorder products and related technologies. Exposure to MBSE, requirements analysis, testing, and documentation is provided.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in BS/MS in systems, aerospace, electrical, computer, software, or mechanical engineering.
• At least two years of undergraduate study completed prior to internship.
• Foundational understanding of engineering development, testing, and debugging.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite full-time in St. Petersburg, FL.

Responsibilities

• Support system requirements development, specifications, interface definitions, and design documentation.
• Assist with systems analysis, modeling, and product development activities.
• Translate customer, regulatory, certification, and program requirements into testable system requirements.
• Develop or update test procedures, verification plans, and validation documentation.
• Execute functional, environmental, integration, and system-level testing under guidance.
• Analyze test results and document findings, anomalies, and recommendations.
• Support product integration, verification, validation, and regression testing.
