Job summary

Jobtailor in Alabama seeks an experienced Systems Integration and Test Engineer to support end-to-end SEIT efforts for the Sapphire program across lab, ground, and flight environments.

You will help develop test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria, ensure traceability to requirements, and drive defect resolution through rigorous root-cause analysis.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams, test automation, and adherence to aerospace standards and security practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering/related field.
• 1+ years experience in systems integration and test with multi-discipline teams.
• Experience with system-level test plans, lab, HIL and flight environments.
• Experience with embedded/real-time software testing and telemetry data analysis.
• Experience with test automation and scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Tcl).
• Experience with requirements-based verification and traceability tools (DOORS, Polarion).
• Experience with configuration Management and test data management tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end SEIT efforts for the Sapphire program across lab, ground, and flight environments.
• Assist with maintaining program-level test & verification master plan and detailed test plans.
• Coordinate cross-discipline integration and test activities with IT bedrocks (ERP, MES, PDM) and subcontractors.
• Execute testing for complex system-level integration events; drive defect lifecycle to closure.
• Establish test automation, repeatability, and regression frameworks for CI/verification.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and certification artifacts (DO-178C, DO-254, MIL-STD).
• Produce and present test status, risk assessments, metrics, and recommendations to leadership.
• Incorporate safety, cybersecurity, and configuration management controls into test plans.
