Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks an entry-level Systems Engineer I to join our aerospace engineering division. You’ll apply Requirements-Based Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering to develop next‑gen aerospace systems, translating stakeholder needs into robust baselines.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure traceability within a digital ecosystem and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge digital engineering tools on high-impact projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Systems, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• 0–2 years aerospace systems engineering experience or relevant internship.
• Foundational knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle (V-model) and V&V concepts.
• Familiarity with aerospace development lifecycles or safety-critical constraints.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain SysML-based models of aerospace system architectures (flight mechanics, structure, behavior, interfaces).
• Support requirements elicitation, analysis, decomposition, validation, and allocation down to hardware/software/test subsystems.
• Establish and maintain digital threads linking requirements to architectures, models and verification parameters.
• Produce model-governed artifacts and documentation to support milestones (TCR, SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR).
• Collaborate with aerodynamics, avionics, structures and software teams to capture data and ensure cross-domain alignment.
• Adhere to configuration management and safety assessment processes.
