Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Systems Engineer to support Airbus FMS projects, driving requirements, integration, and verification across software, hardware, and certification teams. You will collaborate with Airbus customers and cross-functional groups to ensure compliant, traceable system design.

Role emphasizes requirements management, system integration, and problem resolution, with opportunities to contribute to test activities and documentation for critical flight management systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 2–4 years (Engr II); 4–5 years (Engr III) of engineering experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, Avionics, Aerospace, and/or Embedded systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and manage system requirements for Airbus Flight Management System (FMS) functionality.
• Analyze Airbus operational requirements and ensure alignment with FMS system design.
• Support system architecture, requirements decomposition, and interface definition activities.
• Investigate, document, and track system observations and defects using JIRA.
• Support integration, verification, validation, and certification activities.
• Perform system-level troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate with software, navigation, guidance, performance, and V&V teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support customer issue investigations and technical reviews.
• Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and compliance artifacts.
