Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field; includes Manufacturing Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalents
• Level 1: Experience in an engineering discipline
• Experience with aircraft systems (navigation, avionics, fuel, hydraulics, etc.) including operations and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Evaluates customer specifications and regulations, and assesses the design to develop safety requirements, constraints, and operating limits
• Develops System Safety Program Plans (SSPPs)
• Performs hazard analyses across the full product life cycle (FHA, PSSA, SSA, CMA, Zonal, PRA, OHHA, O SHA, SHA, SAR, SSRE, FTA)
• Reviews engineering design specifications, test and manufacturing operations, change proposals, anomaly reports, and deviation/waiver requests for safety impacts
• Collaborates with government, customers and program domain experts
• Prepares presentations, analyses, and reports for safety boards, design reviews, and test/mission readiness reviews
• Develops proposals, work statements, and specifications affecting system safety scope and budget
• Delivers safety and risk presentations to peers, management, customers and regulatory agencies
